We explore how the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Google's open-source MCP Toolbox give agents real-time, grounded access to AlloyDB, BigQuery, and Spanner through simple YAML tool definitions. See two live demos: Prism, a multi-database retail agent that routes natural language to the right database; and a DB Builder agent that designs and extends full database backends from a plain English description.
