Michael Gerstenhaber is the Vice President of Product Management for Agents, APIs, and Vertex at Google Cloud AI. In this leadership role, he is responsible for the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for a critical portfolio designed to power the next generation of intelligent applications. His key responsibilities include capitalizing on the Gen AI API business by integrating Gemini models into customer workflows, defining the product vision for Agents across Google Cloud, and ensuring Vertex remains the comprehensive platform for leveraging Google’s AI offerings.

Previously, Michael was the Head of Product for the API Platform at Anthropic, where he led product for the Claude models. His work was a central driver of the company's commercial success, accounting for 87% of its business revenue and contributing to billions of dollars in total revenue through widespread market adoption.
Prior to Anthropic, Michael spent seven years at Datadog as the Vice President of Product Management, where he managed infrastructure, networking, and Kubernetes products. Earlier in his career, he served as the Director of Product and Operations at The Happy Cloud and began his career as an engineer with iSkoot and Cisco.
