Vijay Pandurengan is a Sr. Engineering Manager for Google Cloud Data & AI professional services. With over a decade of product engineering experience in the financial services and healthcare sectors, Vijay brings deep expertise in designing data, database, and AI/ML solutions for leading enterprise organizations. At Google, he manages engineering teams responsible for deployment of a wide portfolio of cloud database products, including Spanner, Bigtable, Cloud SQL, and AlloyDB.
Passionate about simplifying complex cloud journeys, Vijay has spearheaded the launch of automated migration tools and serves as a technical sponsor for LLM-powered products and AI agents. A returning speaker at Google Cloud Next, he has delivered talks at Next '24 and Next '25 focused on legacy database transformation at scale and the potential of graph databases.
Prior to Google, he held principal engineer and leadership roles at Raytheon, and Health Care Service Corporation. Vijay holds a Masters in Computer Science, MIT professional certificates in Product Management and Machine Learning, and over 20 industry certifications. Outside of tech, he volunteers as an USA Archery Junior Olympics coach.
