Joana Carrasqueira is a Group Product Manager at Google DeepMind, building internal tools designed to accelerate progress toward AGI. Before moving to product, she led Developer Relations at Google DeepMind, scaling global adoption of Gemini, Gemma, GenMedia and Gemini Robotics building one of the world's largest AI developer communities.
Prior to her leadership roles at Google, Joana advised Forbes 500 companies on digital transformation at the Silicon Valley Innovation Center. She started her career as a pharmaceutical scientist, spent four years at the International Pharmaceutical Federation where she led the Education Department on global healthcare policy across 47 countries, including NGOs such as the United Nations, UNESCO and WHO.
She holds a Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences, an Executive MBA from IE Business School, and a leadership degree from UC Berkeley. She writes and speaks about AI, vibe coding and building technology that earns people's trust.
