Itay Maoz, Senior Director of Engineering, Cloud SQL.
Itay leads Cloud SQL engineering at Google. Prior to joining Google, he was the General Manager of in-memory databases at AWS, including Amazon ElastiCache and MemoryDB. Throughout his 25+ years in software development, he has mainly focused on building and scaling high-performance databases, storage systems, and caching.
Itay has a CS bachelor degree from the Israel Institute of Technology and a CS master's degree from Tel Aviv University.
