Nelly Porter is the Director of Product Management for Confidential Computing and Encryption at Google Cloud, where she has spent over a decade architecting the future of platform and virtualization security. She is overseeing global portfolios in cryptography, key and secret management, and the transition to Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC).
Nelly currently serves as the Governing Board Chair of the Confidential Computing Consortium (CCC). In this role, she leads a global alliance of over 60 industry leaders to transform hardware-based security from a niche requirement into a fundamental pillar of modern infrastructure. Her recent work focuses on the intersection of security and innovation, specifically scaling Confidential AI to enable private, verifiable processing for large language models and sensitive enterprise datasets.
A recognized innovator, Nelly holds 30+ patents and defensive publications in the security domain. Prior to her tenure at Google, she held senior technical leadership roles at Microsoft, where she advanced virtualization security; HP Labs, where she focused on high-availability clustering; and Scientix, leading firmware and kernel engineering efforts in Israel.
