Philip O’Toole is an Engineering Manager at Google Pittsburgh, where he leads teams responsible for the design and development of Google Cloud’s Observability platform. His teams are responsible for the large-scale data ingestion and routing pipelines that power Cloud Logging and the Observability Suite, serving some of the world's largest enterprises.
With extensive experience in the monitoring and data space, Philip previously led engineering teams at InfluxData (creators of InfluxDB), Loggly, and Riverbed Technology. He acts as a bridge between deep distributed systems engineering and product vision, ensuring reliability at massive scale.
