Ryan Cox is a senior infrastructure and cloud platforms leader with over 20 years of experience delivering resilient distributed systems across data center, cloud, and container-native ecosystems. He currently serves as the Senior Director of Infrastructure and Cloud Platforms at PayPal, where he leads the company’s enterprise-wide cloud modernization and the build-out of its next-generation cloud platform.
Prior to joining PayPal, Ryan served as a Cloud Architect at Google, where he led the Operational Excellence pillar of the Google Cloud Architecture Framework. His career also includes significant architectural and leadership roles at Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, and American Airlines.
