Raghu Kulkarni is the Global Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO) at Equifax, where he leads the company's data science labs worldwide and spearheads the global EFX.AI initiative. In this role, he drives the responsible development and deployment of advanced AI and ML solutions across the entire credit life cycle.
A champion for explainable AI in highly regulated environments, Raghu has accelerated Equifax’s AI adoption, successfully guiding the organization to build 100% of its new U.S. models and scores using AI and machine learning in the second half of 2024.
Raghu brings over 18 years of leadership experience in the financial services sector. Prior to joining Equifax in May 2024, he served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Data Sciences Officer at Discover. There, he directed the company’s AI and ML model development across a vast portfolio, including credit underwriting, marketing, fraud prevention, anti-money laundering, and operations.
At Google Next, Raghu brings a unique perspective on the intersection of scalable cloud compute, proprietary data moats, and the operationalization of Responsible AI to drive financial inclusion and consumer opportunity.
