James Duncan is a Senior Product Manager for Cloud Networking at Google Cloud, where he focuses his time on agent and service centric Networking. He is currently focused on developing networking platforms that support agentic AI, ensuring secure and observable communication between agents and tools.
Previously, James served as a Cloud Engineer and Solutions Architect, where he designed large-scale compute and trading platforms on Google Cloud for large investment banks and hedge funds.
Before joining Google, James was a Manager in PwC’s Technology Consulting practice, leading cloud migration and DevOps initiatives for large-scale government and commercial clients. He also has a background in financial services, having worked in IT strategy and architecture for Westpac New Zealand.
James holds degrees in Computer Science and Information Systems from the University of Auckland.
